General Manager - Andrew Roach

Andrew Roach has 30 years’ experience in Local Government across Australia, holding the position of CEO/General Manager at 4 Regional Councils. With a background in finance and governance, his leadership is based around creating empowered teams that deliver for their local communities.

 

Manager Planning and Environment - Phil Reid

Phil is an environment and sustainability professional, with over 18 years’ experience in consulting and operational roles. Phil has worked across mainland Australia (NSW, QLD, ACT, WA) as well as in Europe, in planning and approvals, biodiversity management, contaminated land management, community liaison, EMS and sustainability roles. Sectors have included infrastructure, mining and urban development.

Phil’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Science (University of Newcastle, majoring in environmental management) and Master of Environmental Law (Sydney University). Phil is also highly experienced in the delivery of infrastructure, conservation and spatial services projects.

Phil is passionate about supporting communities and projects to achieve sustainable development and strives to work with stakeholders to realise these objectives.

 

 Manager Economic Development - Sandy McFeeters

Sandy has extensive management experience in remote area eco/nature based resorts and public sector tourism operations within World Heritage and protected areas spanning 30 years.  Inclusive of roles as GM, Heron Island Resort and Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust; Assistant GM at Heron Island, Lizard Island, Orpheus Island and Southern Ocean Lodge.

Sandys experience also encompasses public sector nature based tourism operations as GM Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, Site Manager Seal Bay Conservation Park and Project Leader Visitor Strategy, Department of Environment and Natural Resources South Australia and Visitor Services Manager, Reef HQ Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

She has proven  success in consistently increasing productivity, improving gross profit and controlling costs across multifaceted resort and tourism operations. Supported through the identification of new markets and development of multi-layered eco/nature based tourism experiences to extend product offering, improving guest experience and business outcomes.

 

Manager Infrastructure Services - Gordon Malesevic

Gordon has over 30 years’ professional experience and joins Norfolk Island Regional Council after working in private construction companies and in numerous Local Councils in New South Wales such as Strathfield, Ryde, Northern Beaches, Sydney City, South Sydney and Kiama where he helped deliver on the Community Strategic Plans utilising and mentoring in house teams and external consultants to deliver value for money and successful outcomes such as aquatic centre, town centre upgrades, improved traffic management , dam construction, road construction, flood mitigation, dredging of inland waterways and emergency services role during disasters and the provision of support services to Community.

Manager Customer Services - Stewart Todd

Stewart has more than 20 years’ experience working in Local Government in NSW and is approaching 10 years’ experience on National and State based boards, his board experience includes in excess of 4 years as President.

Having worked largely in Local Government, Stewart is very proficient in government relations. He has worked particularly closely with both the Federal and State Governments to deliver critical and key strategic infrastructure projects as well as numerous community focused and economic development projects.

Stewart's knowledge and experience is underpinned by his tertiary education, comprising an MBA majoring in Accounting and degrees in the fields of IT and Economic Development. Firming up his formal education, Stewart is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course.
